SYNOPSIS

Join award winning narrator and industry leader Piper Goodeve for an evening of all things audiobook! In this small group session, each participant will have the opportunity to read from self-selected copy and receive feedback from the instructor. There will also be plenty of time allotted for a Q&A. For anyone looking to improve their reads and learn about the industry, this class is not to be missed!


REQUIREMENTS

Participants are required to bring a  2 minute piece of copy. Fiction or non-fiction, and if it is fiction it must contain dialogue. No explicit language, sex, or violence.  Participants are required to remain for the duration of the session. 


INSTRUCTOR BIO

Piper Goodeve

Piper is an actress and audiobook narrator who has recorded over 250 titles for indie authors and major publishers, including Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, PRH, Tantor, and Audible Studios. A four-time Audie Award finalist, one-time winner, as well as an Earphones Award recipient, Piper also teaches narration at colleges and studios across the country. She has directed titles for Audible Studios and Hachette, including Sex, Race and Robots read by Amandla Stenberg, and directed/ produced #SOBLESSED read by Brian Dennehy, Alan Cumming, and a full cast of Broadway stars. She holds an MFA from Brown University, and splits her time between Brooklyn and Vermont with her husband and their sassy cat Caroline.
