PANELIST BIOS

John Frank Levey is a four-time Emmy Award-winning casting director. He has cast such iconic television shows as 'China Beach,' 'ER,' 'The West Wing' and 'Shameless,' as well as dozens of other television series, miniseries, TV movies, digital series, video games and feature films. Levey is also a five-time winner of the Casting Society of America’s Artios Award and the recipient of its prestigious Hoyt Bowers Award, given for excellence in casting and outstanding contributions to the casting profession. His bestselling memoir, 'Right for the Role,' released in the fall 2022, is his first book.

After decades at Warner Bros, Levey became Vice President of Casting for John Wells Productions before launching his own casting company. Throughout his career, he has been a proud collaborator with many great writers, actors, producers and directors—he is most gratified for the friendships he’s forged and the talent he has helped foster. Personally, Levey is most proud of his children, Oliver Leo and Joanna Claire.

Shawn Hatosy currently appears as Andrew “Pope” Cody on TNT’s family crime drama 'Animal Kingdom.' He is in production on the 6th & final season and is also one of the show’s directors. Among Hatosy's two dozen+ films are the likes of Robert Rodriguez's 'The Faculty,' with Josh Hartnett; Wayne Wang's 'Anywhere But Here,' opposite Natalie Portman; 'In & Out,' with Kevin Kline; George Hickenlooper's 'Factory Girl,' with Sienna Miller; 'The Cooler,' which once again paired him with his Outside Providence co-star Alec Baldwin; and 'Simpatico' with Jeff Bridges. Hatosy has appeared in Werner Herzog's cult classic 'Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans' as Nicolas Cage's partner and with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in Michael Mann's acclaimed 'Public Enemies.' He took a darker turn alongside the likes of Bruce Willis, Emile Hirsch and Justin Timberlake in 'Alpha Dog,' which reunited him with his John Q director Nick Cassavetes.

While juggling multiple film roles, Hatosy also starred on John Wells' Peabody Award-winning TNT drama 'Southland,' for which he garnered a Critics' Choice Award nomination. He also had a memorable arc on 'Dexter' and recurring roles on 'Bosch,' 'Fear The Walking Dead,' and 'Flaked' with Will Arnett.

Hatosy is equally adept at performing in front of a live audience. He received rave reviews for the Geffen Playhouse production of Neil LaBute's 'Reasons to be Pretty' and previously landed the coveted role opposite Al Pacino in Lyle Kessler's 'Orphans' at the Greenway Court Theatre in Los Angeles. Off-Broadway, he starred opposite Anna Paquin in the Paul Weitz comedy 'Roulette.'

Originally from Ijamsville, Maryland, Hatosy currently resides in Los Angeles.
