SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A and a PREPARED READING SESSION with an experienced casting professional.

Actors will perform a 2 min scene from film or TV that most appropriately represents them. 

All RSVP'd actors will need to email castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation a PDF of their chosen scene for the reader, by 9:00am PST/12pm EST on Tuesday, April 11th. The subject needs to be Casting Access - Craig Campobasso. The body of the email MUST include the role that the reader will be reading. Your sides will not be accepted if they are longer than 2.5 pages for standard script formats.

RSVP'D actors will receive a Zoom invitation sent on the day of the class to participate.

CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Fresh out of high school, California native Craig Campobasso found himself working behind the scenes for four years on Frank Herbert’s Dune. The father and daughter producing team, Dino and Raffaella De Laurentiis, and director David Lynch, were Craig’s mentors into the business of filmmaking. After he apprenticed as a casting associate on Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories, Raffaella later hired him to be casting director for the popular Christmas movie Prancer, starring Sam Elliott. Emmy-nominated for casting David E. Kelly’s Picket Fences, Craig has been casting for more than three decades and is an acting coach in the Los Angeles area.

REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register.

Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will receive a link inviting them to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be sent the link to join the class.
