SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A and a PREPARED READING SESSION with an experienced casting professional.

Actors will perform a 2 min scene or monologue from film or TV that most appropriately represents them. 

All RSVP'd actors will need to email castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation a PDF of their chosen scene or monologue, by 9:00AM PST/12PM EST on Monday, May 8th. The subject needs to be Casting Access - Coco Kleppinger. The body of the email MUST include the role that the reader will be reading. 

If your sides are over 2.5 pages or your monologue is over 1 page either in standard TV/Film script format, it will not be accepted.

RSVP'D actors will receive a Zoom invitation sent on the day of the class to participate.


CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Coco Kleppinger is a casting director and professor at UCLA's school of Theater, Film and Television. Before that she was an actress for 17 years. In casting she has worked on films such as IT and IT Chapter 2, The Disaster Artist, Shazam!, Game Night, Unpregnant, and the newly released streaming Apple + Series Extrapolations. She is currently casting the coming of age feature film This Too Shall Pass. In her teaching career she has guest taught at USC, UNI in Iowa, UWyo and various institutions around Los Angeles in subjects including: acting for the camera, auditioning technique, actor self care, voice and speech, vocal extremes and dialects. She comes from Wyoming and currently lives in LA.


REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this workshop. Your last frequency-restricted workshop must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register.

Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will receive a link inviting them to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be sent the link to join the class.
