SYNOPSIS
All class participants MUST be able to complete their comedic self-tape and submit via an Unlisted YouTube Link and send the link to castingaccess@sagaftra.
Select your own 2 minute maximum comedy scene that you would be cast for your self-tape or submit an already recorded self-tape that you are allowed to share. All participating actors must have the capability to watch the class' self-tapes during the Q&A/Watch & Feedback session on Zoom. If your self tape is over 2 minutes, it will NOT be accepted. You can also submit a previously recorded comedic self tape audition that you are allowed to share. (ie the project has been released or cancelled).
RSVP'D actors will receive a Zoom meeting invitation sent on the day of the class to participate. Please check your spam, junk and promotion folders if you're not seeing our emails in your inbox. If you haven't received the zoom link by 1 hour prior to the class, email castingaccess@sagaftra.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Stacy Gallo’s Casting career spans over twenty years and began when she was recruited to launch the in-house casting department for the world renowned production company Hungry Man. She led the department to prominence while spearheading the use of improvisation in commercials before starting her own casting company in 2008. Today, Stacy Gallo Casting is one of the premiere casting offices in New York City casting award winning projects, including many notable commercial campaigns, and innovative digital content in addition to many Celebrity campaigns.
Aside from casting, Stacy has also taught at various learning institutes including Actors Connection and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater of Improvisation. Upon the closing of the former, Stacy has expanded her classes online. She along with Phil Cassese of Stewart Talent, have adapted their popular UCB class to fit an online format. This class, and several others they have developed have garnered continued success and sell out on a regular basis.
For Stacy, casting is not “just a job.” She truly loves what she does and her passion stems from her appreciation for actors. “I love actors and enjoy finding them the perfect role. In doing this, we make our clients happy as well. It’s a win-win!”
REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will receive a link inviting them to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be sent the link to join the class.
