How can actors utilize social media in ways that are beneficial to their careers and brands? How do you decide what content aligns with your brand and message? What do you post, and when do you do it? Digital media professionals Emily Kitching and Andrea Barrera will answer these questions and more. Moderated by Lori Hammel.

PANELIST BIOS
Andrea Barrera is the Social Media Manager for actress/director/producer/activist/entrepreneur Eva Longoria. She is responsible for creating and managing all content as well as managing all of Eva's social platforms (FB/TW/IG/TT). In addition, she oversees all social/digital strategies for Eva's strategic partnerships and businesses.
With more than 10 years in the entertainment and media industry, Andrea started her career working in film publicity and marketing, specifically targeting the U.S. Hispanic market, and worked on campaigns such as THE REVENANT, THE SHAPE OF WATER, THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, among others. After 6 years in film publicity and with the media landscape rapidly changing to digital forms, she pivoted to digital marketing and began working with top brands and content creators.
Andrea earned her B.A from Cal State Fullerton and is a proud Latina and native Angeleno.
Emily Kitching is currently the Director of Social Media at Simpson Street. She works with Kerry Washington and her team to build cohesive social and marketing strategies for productions such as: LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE, AMERICAN SON, REASONABLE DOUBT, UNPRISONED, etc. She works with casts and crews to generate behind the scenes content, ignite conversation, and build content aligning with key themes of the projects. At her time at Simpson Street she helped create and produce a Web Award winning digital series called STREET YOU GREW UP ON.
Emily has over 8 years of experience building social strategies for brands, artists and athletes, as well as content execution, editing, copy writing and analysis.
Lori Hammel is a NYC-based actress and writer. Film work includes Ethan and Joel Coen’s BURN AFTER READING; SPOILER ALERT; SHE'S LOST CONTROL; PUZZLE and the horror/thriller BLOOD CONSCIOUS (2022 New York Times pick), along with numerous shorts including playing the lead in CONEY ISLAND QUEEN (Cannes Shorts Corner).
Lori has appeared in a wide variety of comedic and dramatic roles in TV shows including BLUE BLOODS; FBI: MOST WANTED; JESSICA JONES; LAW & ORDER (2022); GORDITA CHRONICLES; HIGH MAINTENANCE; 30 ROCK and MASTER OF NONE. Her stage work includes Broadway, Off Broadway and National Tours.
Lori played recurring political pundit Leslie Hillerman on the Onion News Network series, In The Know and is the creator and star of the series Margo Rose Reports. She received an Excellence in Acting Award at the NY International Fringe Festival and is the recipient of a Jeff Award, two Jeff nominations, two After Dark Awards and the SAG-AFTRA Joseph C. Riley Service Award.
