PANELIST BIOS:
Anabel Young is a Motion Picture Talent Agent at leading entertainment and sports agency, Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Based in the Los Angeles office, Young works across the agency with a focus on supporting clients in the global marketplace, representing such leading talent as Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan, Lee Jung Jae, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Jimmy O. Yang, DeWanda Wise, Maria Bakalova, and River Gallo, among others.
In addition, Young is a member of CAA’s Multicultural Committee, which serves as a resource for those who wish to connect based on heritage and cultural experience, and partners with other organizations to connect the next generation of industry professionals.
She began her career at CAA in 2014, and was promoted to Agent in 2020.
Young graduated from Boston College with a degree in Philosophy.
DeWanda Wise - In television, film, theater, writing, and producing, DeWanda Wise has established herself as one of the industry's most exciting talents.
She has also been known for her stage work, including the Atlantic Theater Company's "Fireflies," Dominique Morisseau's "Sunset Baby,” Liesl Tommy’s “Flight,” David Mamet’s “Race,” and "In the Continuum.” In 2016, Wise expanded her talents into screenwriting and wrote the short film entitled WHERE YOU GO, which premiered at Cannes in the "Short Film Corner."
Besides being a successful actor, writer and producer, DeWanda is also an outspoken advocate for mental health. As an ambassador for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, she is committed to reducing mental health stigma and implementing systemic change to achieve accessible care for all.
Andrea Weintraub is a Talent Agent at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). She is based in the Los Angeles office and represents many of the world’s leading actors including Greg Berlanti, Regé-Jean Page, Camila Mendes, Chloë Grace Moretz, Max Minghella, Penn Badgley, Saniyya Sidney, Maya Hawke, Evan Peters, Joe Locke, Alisha Weir, and Jenna Ortega, among others.
Weintraub began her career at CAA in 2009.
Weintraub graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Telecommunications.
In 2019, she was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen list, highlighting 35 of Hollywood’s rising executives under the age of 35.
Max Minghella is a British actor and filmmaker. Minghella attended Columbia University and the National Youth Theater in London. He resides in both London and Los Angeles.
