Synopsis
Join casting director Jennifer Sukup for a commercial voiceover workout like none other! Participants are required to provide a 30 second piece of commercial copy of their choice to read for Jennifer and receive feedback. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a sought after coach and a voiceover industry veteran of over twenty three years! The read and feedback portion of this class will be followed by a Q&A.
Requirements (PLEASE READ)
Participants must provide their own 30 second piece of commercial copy to work on during class. Participants will be sent instructions on how to share their copy with the instructor one day prior to class. This class is virtual. Participants must attend from a home studio set-up with a stable internet connection so the instructor can clearly hear your read. Zoom links will be sent out on the morning of the session. Participants will be assigned reading order during class time. Participants must remain for the 2 hour duration of this session.
Instructor Bio
Jennifer Sukup
Jennifer Sukup has been a casting director for over twenty-three years, specializing in voice-over commercials, industrials and animation. She currently works independently but has an extensive history with several NY casting offices including Pamela Fahey Casting, VO Syndicate, Big Yellow Duck, Doreen Frumkin Casting, Oink Ink, Broadcasters, Don Case Casting, and Sound Lounge. Recent commercial credits include American Express, NY Lottery, AWAL, Cosentyx, Samsung, Quicken, Aetna, Staples, WB Mason, Amazon, Gund, Phillips, JC Penney, Dunkin Donuts, Woolite, Staples, La Mer, Ensure, CocoaVia, Dymo, Lincoln Motors, Facebook, Battle 360, and Ubisoft. Animation credits include Transformers: Cyberverse, Rescue Bots Academy, Floribella, Bing, Trivia Crack, and Baby Rockers. In addition to private coaching and VO reel production/directing, Jen also currently offers both a beginner and advanced six-week VO workshop with fellow CD/coach Elizabeth Bunnell at Shut Up and Talk. She has taught VO at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts/Stonestreet Studios and currently teaches an Introduction to VO class at Quinnipiac University.
