SYNOPSIS
This class will include a Q&A with Southeast based Casting Professional, Blair Foster, followed by a prepared reading session.
Participating actors will prepare and perform a scene of their choice from film or tv, two minutes in length or less.
This class is geared to actors located in the Southeast who have not met or worked with Blair. If you have worked with Blair in the past, please sign up for another class.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Blair Foster (they/she) is a seasoned casting professional with 10 years experience in the film and television industry and four Artios Award nominations for their work as an Associate Casting Director. Notable credits include The Staircase (2022), seasons 2-6 of Queen Sugar (OWN), and The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019). Founder of Namaste Casting, their work focuses on inclusivity, accessibility, and authentic representation in casting spaces. They believe and advocate for this focus to extend to conditions on set.
Blair identifies as queer, nonbinary, and a woman. Their Atlanta office additionally supports an art collective and resale shop, Namaste Tchotchkes. Member of the CSA Equity in Entertainment Committee.
