SYNOPSIS

This in-person class will include a Q&A and an prepared reading session with NY based casting professional, Rebecca Gushin.

The class will focus specifically on co-star and small roles.  It is geared toward the actor who is focused on auditioning for co-stars/focused on booking their firs few co-star roles.

Participating actors will be asked to prepare scenes assigned by the casting professional ahead of class.  


CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

REBECCA GUSHIN has been a bi-coastal casting professional for over 20 years. Now mostly exclusive to NY, her career has included work on Broadway plays, in television, and in film, both on independent and studio features. Her film credits (as both Casting Director and Associate Casting Director) include Before We Go, Allegiance, The Vicious Kind, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Run All Night, Wiener-Dog, and the recently wrapped indie feature, Adam the First starring David Duchovny and Oakes Fegley. Television credits (as Associate Casting Director) include: Dickinson (Seasons 2 & 3) for Apple TV+, FBI (pilot and Season 1) for CBS, the final (7th) season of Younger for TVLand/Hulu, Uncoupled for Netflix, and the upcoming The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live for AMC/AMC+. She is a graduate of the Brearley School for Girls in New York City and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (Atlantic). 


REQUIREMENTS

NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.

Cancellations are required by midnight the night before a class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.  Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time.  If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
