This class will include a Q&A with Los Angeles based Casting Director Michael Donovan, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from film, television, or theatre.  Additional preparation details will be sent upon confirmation.


ABOUT MICHAEL:

Michael is the recipient of 9 Artios awards, presented by the Casting Society of America for Outstanding Achievement in casting.  His theatre credits include shows produced at the Ahmanson Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum, Hollywood Bowl, Pasadena Playhouse, the Kirk Douglas Theatre, Walt Disney Concert Hall,  International City Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Laguna Playhouse, the Colony Theatre,  Boston Court,  Ebony Repertory Theatre, Ensemble Theatre of Santa Barbara, Five Star Theatricals, Arizona Theatre Company, both the Palazzo and the Paris Theatres in Las Vegas, Arkansas Rep, and many more, including national tours.  Michael’s other credits include numerous films, commercials, and multiple TV series.  Michael, who also teaches at Pepperdine, is president of the board for the Foundation for New American Musicals.  He is currently producing and casting 44 - THE OBAMA MUSICAL, as well as several other projects.
