CLASS FORMAT

This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Jane Flowers, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from film or television.  Additional preparation details will be sent via email with your RSVP confirmation.

CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Jane Flowers hails from upstate NY, where she attended the University at Buffalo's Musical Theatre program. It was an MFA in Acting at UCLA that brought her out to the west coast and an internship shortly after graduating that illuminated her calling in the world of casting.  Since then, she has worked at many different casting offices, mainly on scripted TV and FIlm. Notable credits: Daisy Jones & The Six, SEAL Team, Bad Mom's Christmas and Die Hart Season 2 and 3.  As a casting director, she has worked on many projects you've never heard of including The Ball Method starring Kiersey Clemons, Kyle Secor and Wally Langham which won a DGA award and See You Next Christmas which is streaming on Peacock. Coming from an acting background, she understands and loves actors; her priority is creating a safe space for them to discover new aspects of a scene or character and giving "up-and-comers" job opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.

Cancellations are required by midnight the night before a class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.  Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time.  If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.

Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.
