SYNOPSIS
This class will include a Q&A with LA based casting professional, Kara Sullivan, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform a scene from film or TV 2 minutes (2 pages) or less.
Additional preparation details will be sent via email with your RSVP confirmation.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Kara Sullivan Casting, established in 2003, is an independent office based in Los Angeles with a satellite location in New York. With a diverse range of clients and an award-winning pedigree, KSC is your casting source for features, short films, commercials, new media projects, and voice over work. Current and recent films include Birth of the Black Underworld starring Frank Stallone (Essence Film Festival 2023 Best Short and Audience Award Winner), Katie’s Mom starring Dina Meyer and Jason Wiles,The Red Tide Massacre with Micheal Pare, Six Feet with Raymond Cruz and Robert Palmer Watkins, U.Z.L.A with Shawn Christian, Immigrant starring Harry Hamlin. KSC’s webseries credits include multiple shorts for CryptTV, Award winning BET+ series The Rich and the Ruthless starring Richard Brooks and Victoria Rowell, Love Work and Other Demons, The Vampyr Resistance Corps, and Romancing the Joan starring the legendary Joan Rivers. Commercial and industrial clients include Lowe’s, Little Tikes, Tasty Bites, MC2, Kellogg’s, Hallmark and “That’s Revolting,” starring Florence Henderson.
In addition to her work as a professional casting director, Kara is privileged to work with the University of Southern California’s prestigious School of Cinematic Arts as a casting advisor. She returned as casting professor for the USC/ShanghaiTech Directing Master Class, an exclusive professional program for a group of elite directors from China.

REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
Cancellations are required by midnight the night before a class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone. Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period. DO NOT BE LATE. Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time. If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.
The use of any type of gun or weapon props are prohibited in classes.
