BIO

Anna Rocio Mendoza, a native of the outskirts of Los Angeles, is deeply connected to her Mexican roots and upbringing. Surrounded by the rich tapestry of her community's culture, she became enchanted by the world of telenovelas and Spanish-language programming from an early age. This exposure ignited her passion for the entertainment industry, particularly in television production.

Initially drawn towards a career at Univision, Anna's trajectory took a fortuitous turn when she embarked on an internship that led her into the realm of casting, under the guidance of the esteemed Mary Jo Slater. This experience served as a pivotal moment, shaping Anna's path in the industry.

Throughout her career journey, Anna has left her mark on various projects, contributing her talents to casting directors like G. Charles Wright, Rachel Tenner, Chelsea Ellis Bloch, and Marisol Roncali. Presently, she channels her expertise at Carla Hool Casting, where she continues to excel and innovate.

As a first-generation Mexican-American woman from a family of farmworkers, Anna's personal background deeply informs her professional pursuits. She is unwaveringly committed to advocating for diversity in casting, drawing upon her own experiences to champion greater representation and inclusivity within the entertainment landscape.
