SYNOPSIS

This in-person class will include a Q&A with New York based casting professional, Josy Rodriguez, followed by and assigned prepared reading session with.

Josy will be assigning sides based on actor headshots and resumes prior to the class.


ABOUT JOSY

Born and Raised in East Harlem, New York. Josy Rodriguez is a New York native through and through. Starting her career for Bowling Miscia Casting in 2013, she began as an intern where she worked on "Hostages" (CBS) and "Blue Bloods" Season 3, where she moved up to Casting Assistant during season 4 & 5, becoming an Associate for Season 6 - 10 and Eventually, becoming Casting Director in Season 10. Other bodies of work include Gotham (FOX) Season 1-5, Hightown Season 1 , Pilot casting for "Difficult People'' and 2 seasons of the hit Amazon series "Harlem". She has also worked on several short films which include the Spike Lee produced "Rainbow Ruthie", the IMDb Independent Shorts Award winning "MA", "Killing Evan",  "S.P.I.C.", "Empathy", "Self Tape", "The Rat that Bites" and most recently, "The Adventures of Benedict Arnold: Chapter 1". She worked on NY casting for the hit Taylor Sheridan limited series "Special Ops: Lioness" for Paramount+. She was most recent nominated for an ARTIOS award for casting "S.P.I.C". Currently in Production for Blue Bloods Season 14 and just wrapped Harlem Season 3.


REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

All members must show a valid SAG-AFTRA card when they check in for the class.  No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.

NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.

Cancellations are required by midnight the night before a class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.  Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time.  If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.

Please note that the 30-day frequency restriction applies to this workshop. Your last frequency-restricted workshop must have taken place no less than 30 (thirty) days prior to this event to be eligible to register
