SYNOPSIS

If you are brand new to self-recording and want to learn REAPER from scratch, then this class is for you. Bang for the buck, REAPER is one of the most powerful, full-featured DAWs (audio software)  for recording, editing and mastering voiceover and audiobook narration. In this class veteran performer and REAPER enthusiast  James Romick will demonstrate how to download, install, adjust preferences settings, record audio, use a few plug-ins for processing and render the work to an Mp3. This session will consist of a demonstration and have ample time for questions. Each participant will receive a PDF of clickable resources for future use.

REQUIREMENTS

This class is designed for members who are brand new to REAPER. No prior experience is required. This class is virtual. Participants will receive Zoom link at least 2 hours before the start of the session. Participants are required to remain for the duration of the session.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

James Romick

James Romick has been a member of SAG-AFTRA since 1980.  Between acting gigs in the mid 1980s, James also studied audio engineering at The Institute of Audio Research in NYC when editing analog magnetic tape with a splicing block and razor blade was the norm. Although he has a working knowledge of many different DAWs, James is a REAPER devotee and offers one-on-one sessions via Zoom on how to set it up and configure it for voiceover and audiobook production.
