This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Professional Helen Geier, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will prepare and perform a scene from film or tv. Sides will be assigned by the casting director ahead of class.

BIO
Helen, a Los Angeles native, grew up in the theatre and has been working steadily in casting for over two decades. She enjoys an all-encompassing career in casting and educating actors of all types. As an industry professional, Helen’s goal is to nurture talent while building a solid foundation of self-confidence.
On-screen authentic representation is incredibly important to Helen. She is especially passionate about working with performers of all abilities. She strives to help actors navigate the entertainment industry, get the training they need to succeed personally and professionally while remaining true to themselves.
Some of Helen’s recent feature credits include Paramount’s upcoming romantic comedy “Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall” with Jenna Ortega and “Nuked” an ensemble comedy, both premiering at The Tribeca Film Festival in June 2024. Her feature credits include Netflix’s “Falling for Christmas” with Lindsay Lohan, Netflix’s “The Laundromat” with Meryl Streep, and Universal’s “Rock of Ages” with Tom Cruise and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Her television credits include Apple TV’s family sci-fi anthology series “Circuit Breakers,” the CW’s hit crime drama “Walker”, Amazon’s first hit series “Bosch”, Showtime’s Emmy award-winning series “Dexter”, SyFy’s hit cult series “The Magicians”, and the Disney+ original hybrid competition series “The Quest”. Helen is the recipient of an Artios Award for excellence in casting.

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
Cancellations are required by the cancellation date listed above. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone. Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period. DO NOT BE LATE. Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time. If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.
The use of any type of gun or weapon props are prohibited in classes.
