SYNOPSIS
This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Kelly Knox, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from film or television.
Additional preparation details will be sent upon RSVP confirmation.
BIO
Kelly has worked with Oscar-nominated and award-winning directors and producers including David Fincher, Mark Burg, Damien Chazelle, Nate Parker, Chuck Russell and Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah. Kelly was head of casting at Brat TV casting all of their shows from 2017-2019 (over 20 million views), he was also head of casting at PureFlix from 2019 - 2022. Kelly's first film he cast was the Comedy SATURDAY AT THE STARLIGHT (Abigail Breslin, Denise Richards, Booboo Stewart, & Michael Madson) for BRAT TV. Just within the past few years Kelly has cast the film GODS NOT DEAD: WE THE PEOPLE (2021 Isaiah Washington, William Forsythe, Francesca Battistelli), Netflix’s docu series VOIR (2021) EP’d by David Fincher, the Drama feature film AMERICAN SKIN (2020 Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi, Beau Knapp, AnnaLynne McCord) Directed by Nate Parker, which won the Sconfini award for the best film at the Venice film festival 2019 and Kelly was nominated for best casting award for AMERICAN SKIN as well. He also cast Nate Parker’s Drama series BASELINES (Malik Yoba, Felicia Pearson) in 2018. Kelly cast 2 seasons 2022-2023 of the comedy web series PBC (Danny Trejo, Kate Flannery, Cheri Oteri, Emily Tosta). He also just finished casting the thriller/horror feature FROM BLACK (2023 Anna Camp, John Ales). Kelly’s current projects he is working on is the feature ROAD TO YAMA w/ producer Gareth Wiley a Golden Globe winner (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Match Point) and the true crime bio pic mini-series THE PROMISE (Felix Kammerer) w/ Myriad Pictures, being directed by Uta Briesewitz (Stranger Things, The Old Man, Severance, The Wheel of Time). Kelly is also casting Uta’s offbeat thriller feature AMERICAN SWEATSHOP (Lili Reinhart) w/ production Co. Baltimore Pictures (Barry Levinson). He just signed on to cast the feature TRANSCENDENTS produced by Brian Rogers (Godzilla, Harry Potter) as well as the feature REMEMBER ME?, w/ Radar Pictures (Ted Fields), based on the novel Remember Me? from internationally best-selling author Sophie Kinsella (Confessions Of A Shopaholic) and Angel Studios (The Chosen, Cabrini) next TV series THE GERMAN KING. He as well just signed with Canticle Productions to do their next 3 features. Kelly has worked on films ranging from $100K - $30M. He is a proud member of the CSA, Casting Society of America.

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
Cancellations are required by the specified cancellation date for that class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone. Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period. DO NOT BE LATE. Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time. If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.
The use of any type of gun or weapon props are prohibited in classes.
