SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Jason Stamey, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides or a monologue from film, television or theatre.  

Additional preparation details will be sent upon RSVP confirmation.


BIO

Jason Stamey is an Emmy-nominated Casting Director who serves as in-house casting for Marvel Television. Prior to his career in casting, Jason ventured out of a small town life in North Carolina to travel the world performing aboard cruise ships, in musicals and at cabarets. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he joined Over the Moon Productions where he assistant directed the musical Spring Awakening. It's there he found his love for casting and quickly landed his first casting job with the Sarah Finn Company. He’s had the privilege to work with Marvel Studios, Disney, ABC, Lucasfilm, Warner Brothers, Hulu and Sony. Some of his most notable work can be seen in the 23 time Emmy-nominated Wandavision, Avengers: Endgame, The Little Prince, What If…?, The Nice Guys and the live action Lion King.

 

REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.

Cancellations are required by the specified cancellation date for that class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.  Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time.  If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.

Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.

The use of any type of gun or weapon props are prohibited in classes.
