SYNOPSIS
This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Dominika Posseren, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from film or television.
Additional preparation details will be sent upon RSVP confirmation.
ABOUT DOMINIKA
Growing up in Stockholm, Sweden, Dominika Posseren started dreaming of a career behind the camera at an early age. In the late 90s she came to Los Angeles to finish her studies and got her first job in Hollywood working for an established PR company. Wanting to explore more of the entertainment business she left PR to work with script and story development at Paramount, DreamWorks and with producer Neil Moritz (FAST & THE FURIOUS) before her first foray into casting in working with the late Mali Finn (TITANIC, TERMINATOR 2) on the feature film 8 MILE, which was Eminem’s feature film debut.
Working as a freelance casting director for the past two decades in Los Angeles she’s gotten the chance to work with Eli Roth on the successful horror franchise HOSTEL, with Jessica Alba on the movie THE EYE, with Jason Statham on the CRANK series and cast THE DEVIL INSIDE, a low budget horror movie that has been one of the most successful releases in Hollywood in that genre. One of her favorite projects to cast has been two seasons of the TV series “Swedish Dicks” starring Peter Stormare, Johan Glans, and Keanu Reeves. Post covid Dominika cast the feature JANE starring Madelaine Petsch, Chloe Bailey and Melissa Leo with her then casting partner Caitlin Well before segueing into a casting executive position at Sony Pictures Entertainment. As the director of feature casting at Sony she oversaw feature films for Columbia Pictures, Tri Star, Screen Gems and 3000 Pictures. Over her two years at Sony, she worked on titles such as, Anyone But You, Madame Web, Gran Turismo, The Equalizer 3, No Hard Feelings, Klara and The Sun, SNL 1975, Venom: The Last Dance, It Ends With Us, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, They Listen and the latest installment of The Karate Kid coming out in 2025.
As of April 2024, Dominika Posseren is back working as a freelance casting director and producer under her new banner Dual Citizen Casting. Her latest casting project is There, There for the Polish Brothers and she’s producing the sci-fi thriller “Detached” with Ella Wahlestedt.

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
Cancellations are required by the specified cancellation date for that class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone. Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period. DO NOT BE LATE. Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time. If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.
The use of any type of gun or weapon props are prohibited in classes.
