Synopsis

What is a Loop Group? And how do you break into what the Hollywood Reporter called The Mafia of the Acting World?  Join filmmaker Tom Putnam and voice artist Robin Reed to unlock the mystery of this niche category of the entertainment industry. In this lively discussion Tom will offer insight on how, why and when he uses a loop group from his perspective as a feature and documentary filmmaker. Robin will share her perspective from her experience on the other side of the glass; from her start as a voice artist on indie features to eventually developing her own loop group. Robin will discuss what she looks for when casting and thoughts on how talent can make themselves more viable for this type of work. The format of this virtual session will be a discussion followed by a Q&A.
