SYNOPSIS
This in-person class will include a Q&A and a prepared reading session with LA based Casting Director, Arlie Day.
Participating actors will prepare and perform a scene assigned by the casting professional.
ABOUT ARLIE
Arlie Day and Mike Page have a combined 35+ years of experience in casting. Both have extensive TV and film credits in both the comedy and drama space. On the feature side, their most notable film TO LESLIE (starring Andrea Riseborough, Allison Janney, Marc Maron, Owen Teague, Andre Royo, Stephen Root and Matt Lauria) garnered Andrea Riseborough a 2023 Academy Award nomination for her performance in the film.
Since joining forces in 2020, they have cast a multitude of projects including THE STORIED LIFE OF A.J. FIKRY for BCDF Pictures based on the bestselling book written by Gabrielle Zevin (starring Kunal Nayyar, Lucy Hale, Christina Hendricks, David Arquette and Scott Foley) as well as the buddy comedy BROMATES (starring Lil Rel Howery, Josh Brener and Snoop Dogg), UNPROTECTED for Tubi, the LCD Soundsystem Special (aka ALL MY FRIENDS) with Macaulay Culkin for Abso Lutely Productions and EGGLAND, a pilot for Adult Swim.
They’re currently casting Gregg Araki’s latest comedy/thriller I WANT YOUR SEX with Black Bear starring Olivia Wilde, Cooper Hoffman and Charli XCX as well as THE GATES (starring James Van Der Beek, Mason Gooding, Algee Smith and Keith Powers) for Lionsgate, which is set to shoot this fall. On the comedy side, Day & Page are currently casting the Olivia Holt and Marisa Tomei starring rom-com F#<K VALENTINE’S DAY, the dark comedy KAET MIGHT DIE for Balcony 9Productions and Whitewater Films, BIG GIRL FACE (with Nicholas Braun, Madelaine Petsch, Kal Penn, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Cheyenne Jackson and Mary-Louise Parker attached), and romcom THE TOKEN GROOMSMAN (starring Taylor Lautner, Sarah Hyland, Brenton Thwaites, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Andie MacDowell).
In the drama and genre space, they are working with Mandalay Entertainment on THE PATIENCE OF VULTURES as well as Nicole Perlman’s sci-fi feature OUR OWN DEVICES for Ground Control, Alloy Entertainment’s 99 DAYS, HOMEWRECKER for Di Novi Pictures, which is being directed by Thor Freudenthal, the horror film THE SWALLOW for Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer (James Harris, Josh Goldbloom, Adam Goldworm and John Finemore producing), as well as the female mob story SHAKE with Jennifer Esposito directing. They are also working with Spooky Pictures (Roy Lee and Steven Schneider) on Natalia Leite’s thriller THE SWELLS (with Kelsey Law and John Finemore also producing).

Please note that the 30-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 30 (thirty) days prior to this event to be eligible to register.
NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
