Synopsis
Join multi-talented industry powerhouse Abby Trott for a workshop focused on voicing characters in anime. This class will begin with a brief discussion about how actors can approach this category of animation including understanding anime genres as well as tropes that feature heavily in most scripts. The second part of the workshop will involve Abby giving feedback to a handful of pre-selected readers (see note about readers below) and then finish with a question and answer session. If you wish to audit the class (i.e. listen, watch and ask questions without the opportunity to read), please add your name to the waitlist. Instructor Bio
Abby Trott
Abby is an actor/singer from Attleboro, Massachusetts. She has lived and worked in Tokyo and New York City, and is currently based in Los Angeles.
Abby's anime credits include Nezuko in Demon Slayer, Momo in Dan Da Dan, Machi in Hunter x Hunter, Yoh in Shaman King 2021, Tokiyuki in The Elusive Samurai, Akane in My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999, and many more! In animation, she has voiced Malibu Barbie in Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase, Ivy in Netflix's Carmen Sandiego, Spiral in X-Men '97, etc. Let's talk video games. She's done some of those too! She's Gwen in League of Legends, Annette in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Wonder Woman in MultiVersus, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Heck, she also sang the English version of "Lifelight," the theme for Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. And commercials. She does commercials too. When she isn't talking, singing, or screaming into a microphone, Abby likes to spend her time playing shakuhachi (Japanese flute) and gazing lovingly into the eyes of her two beautiful cat-children.
