SYNOPSIS

This Masterclass will feature a conversation and open Q&A with Casting Director James Calleri.  The evening will also include a live, observed work session with a small group of actors.

These reservations are for Q&A participation and observation only. 


ABOUT JAMES

James Calleri is one of the leading casting directors in the country and has given first jobsto some of New York and Hollywood's greatest actors including Elisabeth Moss, Adam Driver, Jessica Chastain, Sterling K. Brown, Kieran Culkin, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rainn Wilson and Jeremy Strong to name a few. Broadway casting credits include The Piano Lesson with Samuel L. Jackson and John David Washington, Topdog/ Underdog starring Yayha Abdul Mateen II and Corey Hawkins, Burn This starring Adam Driver and Keri Russell, Fool for Love starring Sam Rockwell and Nina Arianda, Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Neil Patrick Harris, The Elephant Man starring Bradley Copper and Patricia Clarkson, Of Mice and Men starring James Franco and Chris O’Dowd, A Raisin in the Sun starring Audra McDonald and Phylicia Rashad and Venus in Fur starring Nina Arianda and and Hugh Dancy. Film credits include Another Earth, The White Countess, Heights, The City of Your Final Destination, and Trouble Every Day.   James is the author of Acting Professionally: An Essential Career Guide for the Actor.  He is an Associate Professor and co-heads the MFA Acting program at Columbia University in New York City.

Performance seats at Masterclasses are not guaranteed.  Please do not email or call us. We will not respond to queries regarding performing at our Masterclass series. Our team will reach out if a performance space becomes available. 


REQUIREMENTS

All members must show a valid SAG-AFTRA card when they check in for the class.  No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.

NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.

Cancellations are required by midnight the night before the class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.  Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time.  If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
