SYNOPSIS
So, you have a big audition or call back. You have worked very hard preparing your read and have planned exactly how to get every beat pitch perfect. You know precisely what you want to do, how you want to sound, and you are confident that you are going to nail the audition. But what happens if a casting director or voice director says: “you sound great, but I have a few adjustments?” You did not prepare for that, so what do you do?
Many times, casting directors give adjustments to learn more about your craft. They want to see if you can take direction and pivot quickly and to learn if you have more in you than what they hear. In this class, instructor Maggie Grant will help you improve your voice acting agility, so you can make quick decisions when behind the mic, change your point of view, and adjust your voiceover performances to meet the direction.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Maggie Grant is an award winning director, writer, SAG-AFTRA (since 1989), and AEA actor teacher and set coach. She has also been a Casting Director since 1990. She has cast hundreds of actors in film, television, theatre, commercials, music videos, industrials, you name it, she’s cast it. As a director, she has learned how to get the best performance from an actor with, you guessed it, slight adjustments.
She has become adept at the ability to drill down to what connects an actor to material quickly, efficiently and effectively. She takes pride in guiding actors and helping them make the perfect choices and substitutions enabling them to make the material their own.
