Synopsis
Join industry powerhouse Stacia Newcomb for a workshop that challenges those inner vampires and makes room for joy in the booth. Stacia will draw on her 15+ years of experience to offer participants tips, tricks and tools on how to infuse your time in the booth with glee and deliver vibrant reads no matter what category of voiceover you are working on.
Prior to class, participants will receive a packet that will include copy from animation, commercials, promos and video games. Participants will be asked to choose two pieces of copy from different categories and lightly familiarize themselves with the text. No need for intense preparation. Come warmed up and ready to experiment. Let's play!
Requirements
There are very limited reader slots for this class. Only RSVP if you are comfortable reading for the class and able to attend class from a quiet space with a solid internet connection. Attending class from a home studio is optimal. All participants must remain for the duration of the session.
Instructor Bio
Stacia Newcomb
Stacia Newcomb is a multifaceted actor, writer, director, and producer. She’s been a professional actor and voice-over actor for 20 years. She’s a former television star - literally! She performed the cuddly side-kick Star on Sprout’s The Good Night Show. Her voice has been heard on TV Commercials, in Promos, and on Animated Series (Disney, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids, Cartoon Network), Radio, Streaming, Internet, Audiobooks, and Video Games. She’s super passionate about the industry and loves to help fellow actors get creative and remember to play.
