SYNOPSIS

In this acting workshop, you’ll perform a short memorized scene (or monologue) of your choice - as if auditioning for the role. It could be material you’ve auditioned with in the past or anything you feel you're generally right for. After your first take, Jack will discuss your experience with you and provide personalized feedback, followed by another round of performance to apply the notes and explore the scene.

The workshop draws on techniques from Jack Plotnick’s book and his May 9th lecture, Tips to Make Acting Easy and Never Be Nervous Again with Jack Plotnick

No prior reading or attendance is required.

You can read Jack’s e-book New Thoughts For Actors online for free.

Please note: if you attend this workshop, you will be asked to bring a short scene (2 pages in standard TV/ Film format) or monologue (1 page)  to the class that you have memorized.  We recommend bringing material you’ve auditioned with in the past or feel you are right for. Please bring a copy of the scene for yourself and a copy for the instructor.
