Synopsis

Join the founding members of the Narrator Alliance for a lively discussion about the unique joys and challenges that face modern audiobook narrators. This session will begin with an introduction and history of the the Narrator Alliance and then open for all those in attendance to ask questions, share experiences and enjoy community. All levels welcome.

Presenter Bios

Will Damron (Founder of NA) is a two-time Audie Award-winning narrator of over 800 audiobooks. He has recorded titles in virtually every genre.His narration has also earned him three SOVAS Voice Arts Awards and multiple AudioFile Earphones Awards, and he has performed Off-Broadway and in regional theater. Will founded the Narrator Alliance in early 2020, as a way to foster community among audiobook performers and grapple with the effects of his own isolation and recurring depression. He and his wife, fellow narrator January LaVoy, live in Atlanta with their dog, Sir Toby Belch.

Reba Buhr - (Original Member) is a critically acclaimed audiobook narrator with over 275 titles on Audible. She is the recipient of several Audiofile Earphones awards and a SOVAS nomination for her narration work. Reba graduated from Occidental College with a BA in Theater and Vocal Performance and now lives and works in Los Angeles. Her voice can be heard on numerous animated shows and video games including Miraculous Ladybug, Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, and Fire Emblem Engage. Reba also works on-camera with credits including The Rookie,  Killing it, and numerous national commercials. Thanks to her own experiences with panic and anxiety she has developed an extensive catalogue of resources and coping tools and is passionate about sharing that information with others. Wayne Mitchell (Original Member) is an actor, writer, director, and audiobook narrator living in Los Angeles. He has appeared in such shows as Angel, Boston Legal, Vegas, and The Mayans. He co-wrote/directed the independent feature film SOLEDAD and has worked in  Loop Group on such shows as Community, Satisfaction and Deadly Class. Wayne began recording audiobooks in 2018 and has quickly made a place for himself voicing iconic characters like Hellboy, multiple LitRPG series, the pulitzer prize winning Making of the President: 1960, and various Romance titles, garnering a "Swoonie" nomination for his work on The Worst Best Man. As a founding member of Narrator Alliance, he welcomes the opportunity to connect with narrators from all over the world, helping to provide a place where mental well being can exist as a much needed focus. 

Eve Passeltiner is an award-winning stage and VoiceOver actress. As a narrator, Eve has won an Earphones Award and performed in Audie’s, SOVAS and Independent Audiobook award nominated productions. She has narrated for USA Today and NY Times bestselling authors. VoiceOver credits include The Washington Post’s Webby Award Honoree, The Women of Kabul documenting the determination of women in Afghanistan during war. She has voiced many characters for video games, commercials, industrials, and, of course, audiobooks. 

Jennifer Aquino is an actor and award-winning narrator based in Los Angeles with 20+ years working in film, television, commercials, theatre, and voiceover projects. Fun Fact: she's one of the doctors who killed McDreamy on "Grey's Anatomy." Jennifer has narrated titles with most major publishers. She has also directed books for Penguin Random House, Hachette, Macmillan, Brilliance, Scholastic, and One Night Stand Studios. Jennifer is honored to be one of the facilitators of Narrator Alliance, as she makes self-care and mental health a priority.

Rhett Samuel Price began his career in entertainment with USC as an announcer for the baseball team and the men’s and women’s volleyball teams. His next foray came with his 7 year run as the traffic reporter for KABC TV channel 7 in Los Angeles and for numerous English and Spanish radio stations. Rhett began narrating audiobooks after taking a class with Pat Fraley and Scott Brick and has never looked back. Rhett has been a longtime supporter of Civil Rights, inclusion of BIPOC, Women, and the LGBTQ+ community in the world.

Ivory Tiffin - (NA Member at Large) is an actor, narrator and word nerd based in Los Angeles with Chicago roots. She is also a recovering Mormon who is actively deconstructing her own origin story. Ivory has worked 20+ years in Film, Television, Theatre and Voice Over. She started narrating audiobooks in 2022 and relishes wearing her pajamas to work. 

Rich Miller has been telling  stories since childhood. He's performed onstage in everything from Shakespeare to Damn Yankees to August: Osage County, and starred in the indie feature Ocatilla Flat.

Paul Bellantoni is a retired opera singer who currently lives in L.A. He is an  award-winning audiobook narrator and voice actor. Paul has voiced characters in many of the biggest videogame franchises including League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Dungeons & Dragons, Hearthstone, Black Desert Online, Granblue Fantasy, Shenmue, Ni No Kuni, and Shadowverse. Paul has also dubbed many roles into English for Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. Paul has narrated nearly 150 audiobooks for most of the major publishers and has won 3 Earphones Awards (so far!)
