SYNOPSIS

With the rise of cable TV & streaming platforms, documentaries have reached new heights of popularity and critical acclaim. The quantity of TV documentaries being produced has created new opportunities for voiceover actors to gain notoriety for their narration performances. In this class you will learn how to break down scripts, hone in on the emotional tone of scenes, and learn other tools you will need to excel in documentary narration. INSTRUCTOR BIO

Bill Ratner

Bill is one of America's most-heard voice actors on movie trailers, TV programs, promos, documentaries, commercials, games, and cartoons.  He is the voice of “Flint" on G.I. Joe, Robot Chicken, and Family Guy. He is in the 20th season as narrator of “Air Disasters” on the Smithsonian Channel. Bill is a nine-time winner of The Moth StorySLAM, where his stories are featured on National Public Radio. Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Board of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab.


REQUIREMENTS

This class is virtual and will take place over Zoom.  The Join Details (Zoom link and other related information) will be emailed to those on the RSVP list no later than 1 hour before the start time of the class.

Voiceover Lab eligibility is not required to attend this class.

Attendees must be present for the entire class (see Duration above).
