Synopsis
Interested in creating a high quality audiobook sample for use on your personal website, ACX, AHAB or for submission to an audiobook publisher?
Then this workshop is for you!
Once you RSVP, you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to a calendar.
Please book your 1/2 hour work session on that calendar.
All sessions will be held on Sept 16 in the NY VO LAB between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM.
On Sept 16, you will arrive at the NY VO Lab 10 minutes before your appointment time to check-in.
Come prepared with a one and half to two minute rehearsed section of a book that you would like to record as an audiobook sample.
You will have 30 minutes to work on the recording. The purpose of those thirty minutes is to capture a high quality raw record of your chosen 2 minute or less sample. The booth director can offer direction but this will not be a skills coaching or practice session. This will be a work session using punch and roll. For coaching or practice, please book time on our main booth calendar.
On the following day, Sept 17th each participant will receive a fully mastered high quality sample of the audio they recorded. The 2 minute or less sample will be ready to post on websites, casting platforms or send to publishers.
