SYNOPSIS

Are you a young performer eager to take your VO work to the next level?  Join casting director, voice actor and sought after teacher Lynnanne Zager in a special workshop for young actors in our state-of the-art studio in NYC. 

In this session Lynnanne will share tips, tricks and tools to help young performers improve their voiceover auditions. . Everybody will work in the booth, receive feedback and direction, and have the opportunity to save the reads (see REQUIREMENTS below). 

Don’t miss this opportunity to work in a supportive fun environment with an industry leader. 


REQUIREMENTS

This is a session for young performers ages 9 to 17 years old.. A parent or guardian must drop-off and pick-up participants promptly. This session is 1.5 hours in length and all participants must stay for the duration. Parents will not be allowed to remain in the studio during the class time, but parents will have the opportunity to attend other on-site activities in the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists.

Performers that secure an RSVP seat for this class are not eligible to attend Lynnanne's 10:30 AM class.

If you would like to be considered for an auditor seat (not a reader, but present in the class and learning), add your name to the Waitlist.  We will notify actors of their status, as the class nears.

If parents and young performers want to save the reads they perform during the class, please bring a USB-A flash drive with at least 1 GB of space available.


INSTRUCTOR BIO

Lynnanne Zager 

Lynnanne Zager is one of the voiceover community’s most respected actors, teachers and casting directors. After receiving her BFA and MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts she became Talent Coordinator of Hanna-Barbera Studios with 29 cartoon shows on the air including Scooby Doo, The New Flintstones, Richie Rich and Super Friends and was part of the producing and casting team for the original cartoon series, The Smurfs. 

She has been a voiceover actor for over 30 years. Lynnanne's voice has been heard in more than 500 feature films, television programs, commercials, industrials and video games. The Narrator in Investigation Discovery’s Deadly Women for 14 seasons, voice of the computers/GPS in HP Lap Top Commercials, The Office , G.I.N.A. in Extant, PINN in Transcendence, Men in Black 3, ABC’s LOST, Star Trek, The Movie, and Fantastic 4 movies. Many “Countdown” computers!

Lynnanne cast and directed the young actors’ voices in KUNG FU PANDA 4,ORION THE DARK and RUBY GILLMAN, TEENAGE KRAKE for Dreamworks and Netflix, and is very proud to have cast the young actor's ADR voices in the last 5 Dreamworks movies, The Boss Baby, The Boss Baby 2, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, Kung Fu Panda 3, Penguins of Madagascar and Captain Underpants.

She is very proud to be mentoring and teaching voiceover acting in all genres to young actors and to be a part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Don LaFontaine VO Lab and the New York VO Lab– having a passion for passing it on to the next generation (as Don LaFontaine did with her!).
