ABOUT BONNIE
Bonnie Timmermann is a veteran producer and casting director. Producing credits include Violet and Daisy with Saoirse Ronan and James Gandolfini; Fur with Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr.; Bug, with Michael Shannon, directed by William Friedkin; and An American Rhapsody with Scarlett Johansson and Nastassja Kinski. Bonnie’s producing career began with the Emmy-nominated HBO film In The Gloaming directed by Christopher Reeves. She produced Ariel Dorfman‘s Death and the Maiden on Broadway, directed by Mike Nichols, and the subsequent film adaptation directed by Roman Polanski. Bonnie had the pleasure of serving as a producer on The Break, shot in Dublin with Stephen Rae and Brendan Gleeson, and was delighted to return to Ireland in 2023 with Liam Neeson for the production of In the Land of Saints and Sinners.
Projects in development include a TV series based the novels of former SAS soldier and best-selling author Andy McNab and a feature film, A Simple Lie, also written by McNab with John Connor. Both projects are being done with Range Media Partners. Other film projects include Da Vinci‘s Mother; a biopic about the pioneer rapper T La Rock; On Fire being produced in conjunction with Edward Burns; The Road to Beirut, based on the memoir The Shattered Lens, with Joe Berlinger directing; and The Rule Of Nines starring André Holland with Laurence Fishburne directing.
Casting credits range from commercial hits like Armageddon, Blackhawk Down, Bull Durham, Dirty Dancing, Heat, and The Last of the Mohicans to critically acclaimed independent films like Glengarry Glen Ross and Quiz Show. In the last year, Bonnie cast Roofman, written and directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst, and Peter Dinklage followed by All the Best People, directed by Brian Swibel and starring Paul Walter Hauser and Lily Reinhart. For television Bonnie cast Michael Mann’s seminal series Miami Vice and recently did I Know This Much Is True, for Derek Cianfrance and starring Mark Ruffalo.
Bonnie’s casting and producing files are archived at the Howard Gotlieb Research Center at Boston University, and Bonnie, a documentary by director Simon Wallon about Bonnie’s casting career and the actor’s life, premiered at the Venice Film Festival, was also shown at the Deauville Film Festival as well as other international venues, and is currently available through domestic streamers.
