Synopsis

Interested in audiobook narration? Join sought-after voice talent, CEO of Leonardo Audio and Nor'easter Publishing Chris Ciulla for an in-studio workshop that will explore what it means to be a successful audiobook narrator. Chris will begin this session with a one hour lecture that shares what he's learned- both from error and triumph-  during his audiobook journey. The second part of this session will consist of a read and feedback work session and  conclude with a Q&A. All members will have the opportunity to work in our booth with this industry leader. All levels welcome. 

Requirements

Participants are required to source a 2-minute  (300 words)  scene from a book (not a script or play) in a genre that they wish to pursue. All genres welcome. Every participant will read and get feedback. This is a small group session. Participants will be given instructions on how to email scripts prior to class as well as have scripts either printed or on a device to read from during class. 

Instructor Bio 

Chris Ciulla is CEO of Leonardo Audio and Nor'easter Publishing, and is an on-camera actor, video game and commercial voice actor. He's narrated over 580 audiobook titles and produced and/or directed another 200. Just this month, he received an Earphones Award from AudioFile Magazine for his performance of Elliot Ackerman’s SHEEPDOGS, and shared another Earphones Award for the multi-cast performance of THE CORRESPONDENT by Virginia Evans.Chris is a TV and Film actor with credits in such shows as Widow's Bay, Castle and Gotham.. He’s also an interactive voice actor with over 30 characters in the Fallout game series and companion Mickey Caviar in Starfield for Bethesda, and can be heard voicing the Ultimate History Quiz on your nearest Alexa device for The History Channel.
