Synopsis
Voiceover artists mostly record auditions in their home studios on their own. This lack of outside input makes knowing how to interpret the audition breakdown and act as your own director crucial to delivering competitive reads. Join industry powerhouse and beloved coach Sara Krieger for a virtual workshop designed to help beginning and intermediate students practice these skills. In this session Sara will help participants discover ways to get a clear understanding of the client’s point of view and share tools on how to deliver that message effectively. She will encourage participants to find ways to get inside the copy to make it personal and share her strategies on handling second takes and alt reads. Instructor Bio
For the past several decades, Sara Krieger has been one of the most successful working actors and voiceover coaches in VO. As a Voiceover talent, Sara Krieger has recorded thousands of commercials, promos and narrations, including national network accounts and spots for T. Rowe Price, Citibank, Unicef, Pfizer, American Express, Mercedes Benz, and countless others. Her television work includes 13 years on The Late Show with David Letterman as one of the sketch voices for the opening monologues. For five years, she voiced the station IDs for Bloomberg radio and is currently the station ID voice for WQXR in New York. In addition to being an in demand private VO coach and demo producer, Sara has taught numerous courses for SAG-AFTRA’s “Business of the Biz” series, of which she was a co-creator. Sara was also one of the first teachers at the Voiceover lab in New York, and was instrumental in designing its curriculum, as well as teaching numerous popular seminars.
