SYNOPSIS
Voiceover, stage and theatrical actors are sometimes confronted with a request to sing for auditions or roles. But, what if you are not a singer...and Auto-Tune is not an option? Don’t worry, this interactive “show-and-do” class will help participants experience how to cultivate and expand vocal capacity, as a voiceover artist, actor, and singer. Participants dive into the function of the vocal mechanism starting with home base, the vocal fry, producing range and dynamics with no effort. Additionally, identifying the difference between the speaking and the singing voice; and how imaging, visualization, and listening work in producing these voices. In the process, actors will Identify what makes no two voices alike. Participants are introduced to exercises supporting vocal longevity, stamina, range, and expression.
Participants are asked to bring a hand held mirror for this class and an interest in learning how to better utilize your vocal/voice instrument.

Suzanne Lukather
Suzanne Lukather is a third-generation legacy member of SAG-AFTRA with a remarkable forty-year career spanning the Broadway stage, Nickelodeon TV, and the Disney Company. Bringing a unique and grounded perspective, she now focuses on empowering fellow performers in the competitive age of AI.
