SYNOPSIS

Voiceover auditions can be exciting, inspiring and stressful. You record the audition, send it off and then crickets. That can leave you wondering: Did anyone listen to my audition? If so, what did they think about my performance?  How does my recording space/studio sound? Was my submission competitive? In this class we will help you fill in the blanks and answer your voiceover audition questions. We will review your audition, provide feedback on the recording quality, constructively critique your acting performance and more.

Read the REQUIREMENTS for important details.

Instructor, Eric Hurst (Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab Audio Engineer/Booth Director

REQUIREMENTS

IMPORTANT (READ CAREFULLY): This class is intended to prepare actors for the auditioning process and how to create the best audition possible.  In order to participate in this class, actors must pre-record and submit an audition before the class, using the equipment you have or have access to, and according to the audition submission instructions .  We will not record auditions during the class.

Submission instructions and script(s) will begin being emailed to those on the RSVP list on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM (PT) and continue until Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 4:00 PM (PT).

Know the cancellation deadline (see above).

Small group format with a maximum of 14 actors participating

Auditors: There will be 2-4 auditor seats available for the class.  Auditors are chosen from the Waitlist, so actors interested in auditing the class must add their name to the Waitlist.  Auditors are present for the instruction and interaction with the instructor and attendees, but auditors are not designated as readers.  However, if RSVP seats become available, auditors may be moved to the RSVP list and potentially become readers.  Auditors will be notified of the change before or during class.  Auditors will be emailed the submission instructions and scripts on the same date and at time (details above) as those on the RSVP list.

Participants are expected to be present for the entire program.  See Duration above.
