Synopsis

So, you have created an account on ACX. You’ve set up your ACX profile page, uploaded some narration samples, and set your audition filters. Now what? Start auditioning, of course!

Join industry veteran James Romick for an in-depth discussion on what to look for and what to look out for when auditioning for books to narrate on ACX. James will cover what due diligence and research talent should do and what questions are the most beneficial to ask. He will outline obstacles you might run into, ways to communicate with rights holders and the necessary tools you will need to succeed on this platform.

This session is designed for members who are brand new to ACX as well as members who are familiar with the platform but would like to better understand how to use it.

Format

This session is a lecture with a Q&A

Instructor Bio

James Romick has been a member of SAG-AFTRA since 1980.  Between acting gigs in the mid 1980s, James also studied audio engineering at The Institute of Audio Research in NYC when editing analog magnetic tape with a splicing block and razor blade was the norm. Although he has a working knowledge of many different DAWs, James is a REAPER devotee.
