Kim Coleman, CSA, is a Los Angeles-based Casting Director known for her work in Film and Television and currently the casting director for the hit CBS daytime drama Beyond the Gates. She is the President of The Academy Foundation Board, a Governor for the Casting Directors branch, and a member of the Branch Executive Committee at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. She also served as Governor of the Television Academy for two terms representing the Casting Directors branch. Coleman is also an advocate for educational programs as well as diversity in casting and in the film industry.
Some of her most recent television and film credits include: By Any Means, Highest 2 Lowest, Forever, A Different World Sequel, All the Sinners Bleed, Beauty in Black, Cross, The Greatest, Straw, The Gospel of Christmas and Da 5 Bloods. She also casts all television and feature films for the prolific writer, producer and director Tyler Perry. Her past television work includes Lovecraft Country, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, The Good Lord Bird, The Upshaws, Dear White People, She's Gotta Have It!, Snowfall pilot, The Good Doctor (pilot and season one) and Running Point (pilot and season one). Coleman is a two-time Emmy nominee for her work on John Ridley’s American Crime and Misha Green’s Lovecraft Country. She has received 5 Artios Awards from the Casting Society for her work on Da 5 Bloods, Zola, Dope, Dear White People and Spike Lee's Oscar winning film BlacKkKlansman.
Christy Dooley is the Head of Casting for “The Bold and the Beautiful,” the most watched daytime drama in the world. She earned her BFA from San Diego State University and after graduating, she started working professionally in Northern California as an actor and director for a theater company which eventually became San Jose Repertory. In 1984, she moved to Los Angeles and began working in the entertainment industry in development for an independent producer and as a talent coordinator.
In 1987, she started working on a brand new daytime show, “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and has been there ever since. The show is now in its 39th season and she has cast over 9,800 episodes. She was nominated for Daytime Emmys in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2017 and 2019. She was voted best daytime Casting Director by Canadian TV guide in 2008.
In 2013, Christy stepped outside her daytime world and began producing and writing her own projects with her producing partner through their production company, 2North Entertainment. Their first Independent Feature, “Maybe Someday,” was an official selection of the 2015 Carmel International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Feature. She continues with her producing partner to develop scripts for TV and Film.
Marnie Saitta is a multi-Daytime Emmy® Award-winning casting director. Born in Boston, MA and with a degree from Emerson College, she has been with the Peacock, formerly NBC, daytime drama Days of Our Lives since 2007. Prior to Days, she served as casting director for the CBS/Sony Pictures TV daytime drama The Young and The Restless (1998 – 2006) and other credits include Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem (2021, 2022) for Peacock.
Saitta has fourteen Daytime Emmy® Award nominations, with three wins (2017, 2019, 2025), and multiple Casting Society of America’s Artios Awards nominations.
In her free time, she serves as “dance mom” for her teenage daughter. They live in the Los Angeles area.
Greg Salmon has served as the Casting Director for “The Young and the Restless” since 2024. He joined Y&R in 2012 as the show's Casting Associate.
He started his casting career working for the legendary casting director, Judy Blye Wilson at “All My Children” in New York. He relocated to Los Angeles with Wilson when the show moved to LA before concluding its broadcast run in 2011.
Salmon has received multiple Daytime Emmy nominations for his work on the show, winning the award in 2021. Salmon is a member of the Casting Society. He is a graduate of SUNY at Oswego with a BA in Theatre and Broadcasting/Mass Communications.
