SYNOPSIS

Even if you have an agent or manager, you are still the CEO of your acting career. That’s why an agent receives 10% and you receive 90%. In this class, we’re going to discuss how you can optimize your materials, self-submissions, network, and bookings to remain in control of the things you can control in this business. This is the 90% of the work you should be doing on your end.

You'll leave with a feeling of empowerment and clarity over the ways in which you’re pitching yourself and navigating the industry. We'll provide practical tools for optimizing self-submissions, keeping in touch with industry contacts, general online presence, and a full breakdown of where you can turn your attention and focus between jobs.

Small Group Sessions are facilitated discussions with the goal of digging deeper into some of the information and advice shared within the panels. These sessions provide a time to break down concepts into practical action items by which an actor can individually apply to their professional pursuits. This session will last for 1 hour. Participants must stay for the whole time.

Please bring a pencil or pen along with something to take notes.

This workshop is for SAG-AFTRA members 18 years and older.
