SYNOPSIS

In this Masterclass, actor Alanna Ubach will be working with selected actors in a live and observed work session. This will be preceded by a brief conversation on her craft and career and will be followed by an audience Q&A.

BIO:

With a career spanning more than three decades, actress Alanna Ubach has amassed an impressive resume with over 150 theater, film and television credits, delivering astonishing performances and working with many of the industry’s most revered creatives. With some of this generation's most compelling performances, Ubach is recognized as a consummate chameleon, balancing both comedy and emotion across multiple genres.

Most recently, Ubach can be seen reprising her role as Suze, Sydney Sweeney and Maude Apatow's mother, in the critically acclaimed television series HBO Max’s Euphoria. The third season of the series premiered this past April. In the final season of HBO Max’s Hacks, she appeared as a guest star in the episode titled “Number One Fan” as Amanda Weinberg. She also stars as Susan Bennett in ted, Seth MacFarlane's and Peacock's prequel series to the TED films, which generated more than 1.2B minutes viewed since its season 2 launch earlier this year. 

In July, she will appear in Apple TV+ and Hello Sunshine’s limited series Lucky, opposite Anya Taylor-Joy and Annette Bening. 

In 2025, she played Hanrahan in two episodes of The Last of Us and in 2024, starred opposite Tom Hardy and Rhys Ifans in 'Venom: The Last Dance', the third installment of the 'Venom' franchise. 

In 2019, she appeared as Jeanine Pirro in Jay Roach's Academy Award winning film 'Bombshell'. The film marked her second collaboration with Roach, whom she’d worked with on the 2004 Comedy 'Meet the Fockers', opposite Ben Stiller. Her other film and television credits include Academy Award-winning 'Coco' (2017) as Mama Imelda, Peabody Award-winning series Men of a Certain Age (2009=2011), the blockbuster hits 'Legally Blonde' (2001) and 'Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde' (2003), and 'Waiting' (2005). Alanna has voiced countless characters, including those in the animated series’ 'Monsters Inc.' (2021) as well as 'Crossing Swords' (2020).


Elisabeth Caren
