SYNOPSIS

In this class actors will work on important fundamental skills and considerations when voicing animation characters.  For example:

  • Determining who and/or what the character is.
  • Interpreting the sides and scenes the character is part of.
  • Defining the relationship the character has with other characters or situations .
  • Establishing the characters motivations and points-of-view.
  • Creating appropriate emotional turns in the voiceover performance to keep the character interesting.
  • Taking direction and deciding what elements of the direction will help refine the character and shape the actor's Voiceover performance.

Instructor: Eric Hurst, Audio Engineer / Booth Director (SAG-AFTRA Foundation Voiceover Lab).
