SYNOPSIS
Through substitution, Dana helps voice actors create authentic, personalized commercial reads by making strong, specific choices. Actors leave with practical tools they can use again and again in their commercial VO auditions.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Dana Powers
Dana Powers is a seasoned Voice Actor, Coach, Director, and Casting Associate with more than 16 years of professional experience across commercials, video games, animation, promos, and audio dramas. For over a decade, she has coached and mentored voice actors at every stage of their careers, helping them develop the skills and confidence to succeed in a competitive industry. In September 2025, Dana joined the Sound & Fury Casting team, where she contributes to the casting of some of today’s most recognizable commercial campaigns. Her unique perspective as a performer, coach, and casting professional allows her to offer actors valuable insight into every stage of the audition and booking process.

Voiceover Lab eligibility is not required to attend this class.
This class will be in person.
Attendees must be present for the entire class (see Duration above).
Know the Cancellation Deadline (see the Program Description above).
Class materials will be distributed in class (if needed) and provided by the Voiceover Lab.
Small group format with a maximum of 16 actors participating. There may be 12 - 14 readers that will work directly with the instructor and 1 - 4 Auditors present. Auditors attend the class, but are not readers, unless an RSVP seat becomes available. If an RSVP seats becomes available we will notify those that have a change in status.
Participants are expected to be present for the entire program. See Duration above.
