Portrayed by Thomas Jane (The Punisher) in a mercurial, star-turn performance, Andre Stander is a young, white policeman enjoying the comforts of middle-class married life in late-1970s South Africa, a country riven by Apartheid.
After killing an unarmed black man during Riot Patrol, Stander wordlessly makes a decision to defy the very system he has spent a lifetime enforcing. Stander's form of civil disobedience, however, takes an unusual form: a series of audacious, high-flying bank robberies, with the young police officer oftentimes returning to the scene of the crime as the lead investigating officer.

Displaying astonishing versatility with a wide range of upcoming films, Thomas Jane combines a leading man's profile with a character actor's art of performance.
Jane is currently preparing for his starring role as the title character in the big-screen adaptation of Marvel Comic's The Punisher, for Lions Gate Films by training with former Navy SEALS. He received critical praise for his performance in Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights, opposite Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly, Burt Reynolds, Don Cheadle and William H. Macy.
