Sara Krieger

Thursday, August 13, 2015

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

Note: This course is specifically designed for actors who have already produced a reel and are at the intermediate/advanced level, or who are beginning to work with representation. It is not for the beginning student.

SYNOPSIS

You’ve studied the fundamentals and the craft of Voiceover. You’ve narrowed down your direction and your type. You’ve put together a comprehensive reel and maybe even secured representation.

Now what?

In this hands on workshop, you will learn to fully understand the audition process of the professional voice actor. This particular area seems to hold the most “mystery” and even fear for a lot of people starting out professionally. Learn how to get a competitive edge before you hit the booth, and learn how to give the most effective, professional and competitive audition possible! Be prepared for an audition simulation exercise during the event (copy will be provided).

This workshop will end at 9:00 p.m.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

Sara Krieger

Sara Krieger has worked steadily in voiceovers for the past twenty plus years. She successfully transitioned from a long career in music that included gigs at the Blue Note clubs in New York and Japan, Jazz festivals, and Carnegie Hall (most notably as one of the original members of New York Voices).  What was originally intended to be a supplementary move to voiceovers evolved into a full time and well regarded career.

Sara has recorded accounts for Estee Lauder, Thermasilk, Orencia, HGTV, Fox TV, Bloomberg Radio and countless others. For the past seven years, she has worked steadily for Late Night with David Letterman, as one of his monologue “skit voices.”

Sara is also an accomplished voiceover coach. In addition to teaching privately, she has also taught many courses for SAG-AFTRA’s “Business of the Biz” series, of which she was a co-creator. She previously moderated the successful SAG Foundation The Business panel "Evolution of Women in Voiceover." In addition, she is a regular contributor to the EIF Voiceover Lab of the SAG Foundation.
