Olivia Wilde - Actor/Producer
As an actress and an activist, Olivia Wilde is a modern-day renaissance woman.  She effortlessly transitions from sharing the screen with renowned actors while simultaneously giving back to the community at large. Also a producer and director, she continues to accomplish much in both the entertainment and non-profit arenas.

Wilde is currently co-starring in the holiday comedy LOVE THE COOPERS for CBS Films. The film, which follows the exasperated members of an extended family who gather for their annual holiday celebration, is being directed by Jessie Nelson and features an ensemble cast including Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Ed Helms, Diane Keaton and Amanda Seyfried, among others. Wilde recently wrapped production on the drama MEADOWLAND. The film, which Wilde stars in and produces, follows a mother's heartbreak when her young son disappears. Most recently, Wilde was seen starring in the Relativity EuropaCorp horror thriller, LAZARUS. Released in February 2015, the film centers on a research team that discovers a way to bring the dead back to life, but soon learn the sinister consequences of their actions. The film co-stars Mark Duplass and is directed by David Gelb.

Wilde will return to television later this year with HBO’s VINYL. Set in 1970s New York, the series will explore the drug- and sex-fueled music business as punk and disco were breaking out, all told through the eyes of a record executive trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound. Wilde will star alongside Bobby Canavale in the drama, which is being produced by Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger, Terence Winter and George Mastras. Wilde previously starred in FOX’s acclaimed medical drama “House,” playing the standout Dr. Thirteen for six seasons.

Wilde recently produced and starred in the critically-acclaimed film DRINKING BUDDIES alongside Jake Johnson and directed by Joe Swanberg. Following that beloved role, Wilde demonstrated her talents in several dramatic films, including Spike Jonze’s Oscar-nominated film HER, Paul Haggis’ relationship drama THIRD PERSON and Ron Howard’s Formula One drama, RUSH. Wilde’s previous film credits also include: BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY, THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE, PEOPLE LIKE US, THE WORDS, BUTTER, DEADFALL, THE LONGEST WEEK, COWBOYS & ALIENS, THE CHANGE UP and TRON: LEGACY.

Wilde's writing and directing debut was the film, FREE HUGS for Glamour Magazine’s short film series, which screened at various festivals across the country. Inspired by her parents, who are award-winning journalists and documentary filmmakers, Wilde has served as executive producer on several documentary films including THE RIDER AND THE STORM, a documentary-short about Timmy Brennan, a New York iron worker who lost everything when Superstorm Sandy destroyed his home in Breezy Point; BASEBALL IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA which explored the cholera epidemic in Haiti and SUN CITY PICTURE HOUSE about a community in Haiti that rallies to build a movie theater after the disastrous 2010 earthquake.

Continuing on the documentary front, Wilde was featured in the PBS docu-series HALF THE SKY: TURNING OPPRESSION INTO OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN WORLDWIDE. Inspired by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn’s book of the same title, HALF THE SKY followed Wilde as she learns of the struggles women face in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2013, Wilde launched the philanthropic company Conscious Commerce, with the mission to create a guide for conscious living by promoting the causes, brands, people and lifestyles that are forging a new paragon of living.

In line with the Conscious Commerce mission, Wilde also recently signed on to be the face of H&M’s latest Conscious Exclusive Collection, which is made completely using organic and recycled materials.  She is also a board member of Artists For Peace and Justice and sits on the foundation board of the ACLU of Southern California.
