SYNOPSIS

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CLASS:  THIS CLASS IS FOR BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE ACTORS ONLY.

THERE WILL BE NO READINGS IN THIS CLASS. No preparation of sides or audition necessary. Class will include round table discussion of his casting process: casting meetings vs. auditions; diversity in casting, career strategy, new-media and developing your career in TV/Film and New-Media.


CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Carmen Aiello grew up in Denver, Colorado and started in theater and dance at a young age, taking classes in both art forms throughout his youth and teenage years. After college, Carmen moved to Chicago where he worked with numerous directors, actors and theaters, doing everything from acting to casting. It was in Chicago that Carmen's focus shifted from performance to advocacy. Carmen cast more than 40 AEA stage productions at NEXT, Wit, Raven and Piven Theaters. In 2008, Carmen moved to Los Angeles to cast for TV/FILM and has worked in all aspects of the talent industry from Jr. Agent to Manager while casting and attaching star names to distributed feature films including Excision (Official selection of Sundance 2012.) His current work includes casting, co producing and associate producing, working closely with the director and producers to deliver the best cast, publicity and strategy for success. Recent work: The Fourth Door (2015, released), Disney's Mere Et Fille: California Dream (2016, released) Espionage TV (2016 release date TBD), Adi Shankar's Gods and Secrets (2017, post production), Corbin Nash (2017, post production) Choke Hold (2017, currently filming.) Carmen works everyday, paying homage to that which he's always loved-art, expression, theater, film and the fine art of acting.


REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
