Synopsis:

Through imagination and creativity, voice actors will breathe life into a host of animated characters.  Be prepared to let go of your inhibitions and go to "that place" where your character development skills are front and center and shine through.  Under the direction and guidance of a true global animation and anime voiceover pro, Ned Lott, the goal is to help you elevate your animation voiceover and gain a better sense of the animation voiceover casting process.

About our instructor:

Ned Lott has a wide range of animation experience both domestically and globally. He was a Producer, Voice Director and Casting Director with the Walt Disney Studios on eight Studio Ghibli titles, including Hayao Miyazaki’s Oscar™ nominated theatrical release Howl’s Moving Castle. Other titles included Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Porco Rosso, My Neighbor Totoro, The Cat Returns, Whisper of the HeartPom Poko and My Neighbors The Yamadas.  Ned also co-produced and co-cast the GKIDS English version of Ernest & Celestine starring Forest Whitaker and Paul Giamatti.  Ned spent years at Disney Character Voices casting and voice-directing titles such as the video game Kingdom Hearts along with casting projects for Cars, Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and many other Disney/Pixar projects. He also voice-directed multiple Lord of the Rings projects, and The Lego Movie Video Game for Warner Bros. On the International front, he cast and voice-directed animated features out of South Africa, Spain, Russia, France and China including dubbing the biggest grossing Independent Animated Feature ever created in China, Monkey King: Hero is Back starring Jackie Chan.
