"AEROBIC WRITING SEMINAR" Presented by Claudette Sutherland

Begins at 5:30 PM CDT

Through a series of writing exercises, Claudette Sutherland shows how and why good writing works.
It is, not so surprisingly, how good acting works. The parallels are revealing and enriching. Actors can learn to develop their own work and at the same time gain insight into how good writing is fundamental to creative expression. It is the window into the creative process. Writing Aerobics is a four hour seminar designed to stimulate your imagination and show you how to get it on the page.

Claudette Sutherland began her long theatrical and television career originating the role of Smitty in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying". As a writer she wrote and performed DOG MAN, a personal history at the Matrix Theatre in Los Angeles.

Claudette developed WRITING AEROBICS, classes based n writing exercises designed to keep the writer connected with the practice of his/her work. The work is based on her belief that the two careers of acting and writing are built on similar principles of language and structure brought alive by scrupulous attention to detail.

Ms. Sutherland is a contributor to Los Angeles Magazine, a member of PEN West and a graduate of Yale School of Drama.
