SYNOPSIS
.Actor, script and a voice director. These are the building blocks for capturing great animation voiceover performances. In this class, actors will work with one of the most respected casting and voice directors in braodcast and feature animation, Meredith Layne. Meredith will tackle ways to boost voice performances and she will answer questions about casting and directing animation during the Q&A portion of the class.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Meredith Layne
Meredith is an Emmy®-award winning casting and voice director who has worked in live-action and animation on feature films and television. Currently she casts and voice directs CASTLEVANIA for Netflix, COSTUME QUEST for Amazon, and BRAVEST WARRIORS for VRV. She was most recently on staff at Nickelodeon Animation, where she cast TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (2013 and 2014 Emmy Award), SANJAY & CRAIG (2014 Emmy nomination), BREADWINNERS, PIG GOAT BANANA CRICKET (also voice director), KUNG FU PANDA (2012 Emmy Award), PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR (2011 Emmy award), FANBOY & CHUM CHUM (2011 Emmy nomination), and ROBOT & MONSTER (also voice director). Meredith was also on staff at Disney Feature Animation, where she worked with Pixar Animation, and has taught voice-over for DreamWorks Animation. As a member of the Casting Society of America (CSA), she has been nominated fifteen times for the Artios Award for “Excellence in Animation Voice-Over Casting”.
