Since 1987 Michael Bofshever has been recognized as a well-respected acting teacher in LA with an ongoing scene study class. Currently, he is researching and interviewing actors on the subject of life as a working actor. By sharing their common experiences these professional performers help less experienced colleagues know there is a career that is possible for them as working actors. SAG members will be enlightened by this discussion and come away with a sense of renewal and commitment to their chosen profession armed with the optimism and fortitude of knowing that the life of the working actor is an honorable and rewarding profession.

A panel of experienced working actors will discuss a variety of questions posed by the moderator and audience pertaining to the many aspects of what it takes to succeed and live the life of a working actor.

Rif Hutton partial list of film credits include Restraining Order, Big Foot, Going Under, Stand and Deliver, Shotgun Jones, Hollywood Homicide, The 13th Floor, Quality Time, Star Trek: Generations, Death Becomes Her, Moving, The Force. Rif has had recurring guest appearances on JAG, Getting By, Doogie Howser M.D., The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital, Young and the Restless. Some of his numerous guest-star appearances are The Shield, Cold Case, Monk, Century City, CSI: Miami, Buffy, Home Improvement, Sister, Sister. He has appeared on stage at the LA Shakespeare Festival, Will Geer Theatricum, Laguna Beach Playhouse and the Victoria Theater and Hippodrome in San Francisco.

Lauren Tom has appeared on Broadway in Hurlyburly, A Chorus Line and Doonesbury. She has performed at The NYSF, La Jolla Playhouse, Goodman Theater and Vienna Festival. Some of here many film credits include Bad Santa, City of Angels, Catfish in Black Bean Sauce, Joy Luck Club, Dear God, North, Mr. Jones and Cadillac Man. Lauren has been a series regular on DAG, Grace Under Fire, Cherry Street and Culture Clash. She has recurred on The Division, Friends, Homicide and guest appearances on Thirtysomething, Anything But Love, Early Edition and My Wife and Kids. Lauren is a recipient of a 1988 Obie Award for American Notes and two Drama-Logue Awards for Tiger on The Right.
